The Pin Up Girl

Before discussing the sinuous, curved, more size bikini Hilda, the scene will be set with a little history of the pinup girl. I'll take you back in time with a short story about some the most talented and popular pin up illustrators in American history.

Earl Christy, (1883-1961)
We start with the prolific Christy Earl which is illustrated porcelain doll appeared on everything from magazine covers and advertisements Hollywood commercial music sheets and postcards. His work found back as early as 1906. His movie posters and covers he painted for "Photoplay" magazine and other Hollywood are now collectibles valuable.

Earl Moran (1893-1984)

Rolf Armstrong (1889-1960)
Rolf Armstrong was another famous artist Brown and Bigelow calendar. After the arrival of a trip to France in 1919, he opened a studio in Greenwich Village, where he painted the girls Ziegfeld Folly. Later, in Hollywood, all the big stars of the day posed for him. Popular actresses like Mary Pickford Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich and Katherine Hepburn have all been painted by him. He even spoke of Boris Karloff to pose for him on the set of the original "Frankenstein".

He refused to work from photographs and has always been on the search for the perfect model. When Asked why he preferred a model live on a picture, he said, "I want the person who lives opposite me. As I look again and again and again while I work, I get a thousand fresh, vivid impressions … all the lights, the exuberance and spontaneous joy that leaps from a young heart and happy. "

George Petty (1894-1975)

From 1933 to 1956, his images were seen in tens of millions of places and all cases of magazines and billboards playing cards and match books, even aircraft art "nose" of the Second World War. In 1950 she was made into a movie starring Robert Cummings and Elsa Lanchester.

Gil Elvgren (1914-1980)
No pinup gallery is complete without displaying the talent breathtaking Gil Elvgren to. His enchanting, dream-coated form of marriageable women can not be overshadowed by the genius of any artist. It was sublime talent! Students Minneapolis Institute of Art, he loved to paint the girls who were new to the business of modeling. It was believed until the pin ideal was a young girl with
fifteen-year old face on a body twenty years, so he combined the two. During the two forty-year period covering 1930-1972, He has produced over five hundred paintings of beautiful young women, almost all painted on oil and canvas. Today, its fully developed works of art finished ranked second in value the paintings of Alberto Vargas.

Alberto Vargas (1896-1982)
The most prolific illustrator glamorous and famous of all time is Alberto Vargas. The son of Max Vargas, a photographer famous and talented of his own, Alberto learned to airbrush his father before he was a teenager. Most do not realize he was actually born in Peru, and did not come to the U.S. until 1916. He arrived at Ellis Island, via Europe, where he had been since 1911. While there, he studied in Geneva and in Zurich, and the weather had made its way here, he was already endowed with a talent coming into bloom. Within three years he had hung his own shingles and has been painting store fronts and display cases for retailers in New York.

A warm afternoon in May 1916, by painting a window for a downtown merchant, he was approached by an employee of the Ziegfeld Follies and asked to show his work to the great Ziegfeld himself. In Forty-eight hours, he was commissioned to paint 12 portraits of prominent stars of the season 1919 of the Ziegfeld Follies. They were in the lobby of the New Amsterdam Theatre.

From the first commission on Alberto Vargas was an artist in high demand.

He painted all the main stars the Ziegfeld Follies and the latest big Hollywood stars like Betty Grable, Jane Russell, Ann Sheridan, Ava Gardner Linda Darnell, Marlene Dietrich, Loretta Young, and even Marilyn Monroe have all posed for him.

In 1940, he replaced the great George Petty at Esquire magazine in 1945 and was the most famous illustrator glamorous in the world.

Baby boomers all know as the creator of Playboy Magazine Vargas Girl. He painted more than 150 of his masterpieces Vargas Girl for Playboy.

He has been married more than forty years to the love of his life, Anna Mae Clift. When she died in 1974, he lost most of its creative drive and worked a few times to make the cars' cover album, Candy O "and two album covers for Bernadette Peters. He died in Los Angeles in December 1982.

One night while prowling "Google Images" for content curves, I found myself at The Pin Up Toil's Big Beautiful Gallery. I clicked and followed his pleasure and curiously titled links search for well-nourished women images I started last night in search of.

After I got to admire the talent, I went back to its home page and clicked on a cheerful teal and yellow banner with the name "Hilda" written across. I clicked on it, not at all prepared for what I see.

Once the page opened, I stopped and stared. He was one of those moments where you see something with which you are completely set, the world around you seems to disappear, and everything goes completely silent as your attention is narrowed, taking in what is in front of you.

Discover Hilda was like the discovery a lost treasure. I recognized immediately. I remind him that a perfect resemblance of what I had for years idealized in the female form; round, soft, pear-shaped, bold, and well done to the extreme.

If his natural instinct is to meet male round, softer, more generously proportioned woman, you will understand why there is so much to love her. With his long legs soft face girl, plump, inviting arms, hips, round and wide, you see a vision of femininity forming in front of you. Add to that suit, the breasts developed, soft, belly and glorious performance size-hip ratio, and you discover it is an ideal example of perfection all over their faces.
