What type of prom dress would go well on my body?

Im not tall, im a tall and 11 and the size is wayyy too big. But Im not skinny. What kind of dress would look good? I was kind of long. but I notice that I look smaller with a dress .. but I do not want short-term, so im stuck haha help please?
