What size should I get the North Face Apogee Jacket?

I'm 5'7 210 lbs. I would get the jackets this week. And I want to know what I suitable for XL or XXL. I tried on the XL and adapt fairly straight with a lil more room. but they didn't have the XXL in stock and I do not know what it will look like, I do not want somthing twice as large. As I'm wearing a sweater .. Please help me. thank you
