People drive pick ups in major cities like New York, LA, Chicago?

Well I want a truck, but I really do not haul things often. I just want a mid-size pickups like a Tacoma. I intend to go to big cities for college and I was wondering if drive pick ups in huge cities? I do not want to be called a Hick, cowboy, farmer, and redneck or anything. Plus I think it a vehicle more manly then some sedan. Im a male, if that matters.

If you go to college, do not buy a truck because the parking conclusions will be an issue and gas is expensive in cities, so plan to spend a lot of money if u buy a truck, not to mention the perception of other children.
