What type of model actually looks flattering on most women of size?

I have a wedding to go to and I wanted to buy a new black dress. I looked at the wrap dresses and I found many things I love. Some of them have been printed and if Im not too sure. Peas, zebra with black top to bottom, Paisley, etc. What does everyone think? I hate ordering online, get and return it because I am like an idiot.

Vertical stripes make you look thinner. horizontal stripes accentuate your waist. (Aka make u look more wide) and Paisley right person.
