Models for the real world: Tyra Banks, Oprah, Wynonna and Me

There is a certain magic that comes with all the celebrities – obviously. They are dynamic. They are engaged. In fact, even if we do meet, they often become role models. Through their work, they invite us to look within ourselves and find the magic inside each of us. For women of size, these models also have something that we often little – confidence. Even the female celebrities who struggle with their weight and body image seem to know they have something magical and unique, and it has nothing to do with the size of their back or the number on the label of their blouse.

As all human beings, the starlets come in an infinite variety of shapes and sizes – they come in variety thin by dozens – and they come in the not-so-category thin as fuller-figured supermodel Tyra Banks retirement. Season after season, Tyra uses her popular show America's Next Top Model, to defend women, plus size at every turn. And no conversation about the most-size models would be complete without Oprah – the queen of the battle of weight in modern times.

So, it is about these women in particular? Do they love themselves a bit more than the rest of us? Or is it all just what they ask U.S. to love ourselves more – and have ALL magic about ourselves This is not to do with our bodies?

Because I think most of us watch their struggles with weight and often think, "Who cares?" Wynonna Judd When I see Oprah or struggling with their weight several times, I never cease to be surprised that they even CARE about it. They are made and fantastic, after all, and their beauty is not up for debate. So the question I am then led to ask is: What to say about me???

To my surprise, again, the answer is that I no longer see me outside – As a "large" woman – and instead, I see myself as a phenomenal woman. My beauty is not to debate – not even by me! And it does not depend on the size of my a **.

Believing that our value is proportionally related to our size (negative rates, I could add) is so horrible that to believe it is related to our race or our bank account, or the neighborhood we live is just another form lies and false division. The worst insult is when I do it myself.

That is why I so often write the importance of target = "_blank" title = "SWAK Designs" plus size fashion "and have a killer wardrobe – because I'm not let my magic be neglected because I'm hiding in the crowd, embarrassed about my weight. There is so much to me what really matters in this world. My questions style. My vision issues. My questions PASSION. My ability to inspire others, my ability to identify great ideas, good sense when it comes marketing and positioning – all that matters. My body fat a **? Not much. And that, quite simply, is what I feel about it.
