The first days of January saw the end of the holidays for some people who spent Christmas with us. It's always a sad moment, because people who came as guests and leave as friends go, but most new bookings that we meet again all. As I write this report, the heat wave continues, we have the warmest January on record, the sun is unrelenting, and every day is over 100 degrees. We have not had a drop of rain in five weeks, the lake has dropped by a foot that we water the garden twice a day from lake. The gardens are struggling in the heat of the jungle around us, the trees will Brown so I hope that the fire is not it! The intense heat and flat calm conditions make fishing very difficult, especially for arapaima, they are simply not feeding at all hard, just take odd taste. I had to go to the hospital every day for over a week for more injections, and have the wound and cleaned. Fortunately, I was all day and just missed leaving, because their swim is a point with absolute waste scattered everywhere. It took ten minutes for the boys clearly the mess of food wrappers, cigarette butts and general shit! If I had been there, I donned rubber gloves and have driven their blouses to erase the damage themselves! We provide trash bags and pots of sand in the swim for firewood, so Please use them. Personally, I'm really angry cigarette butts thrown on the ground or thrown into the lake. I wonder what the houses of these people are like. That's it – monthly whinge over!

Back in a bit of humor – my manager, Watt bless him, is very gullible and Sean earned him a treat this month. Watt asked how he could increase the size of his manhood, if Sean was informed of a cream called 3-in-one effect of triple the size of your face, and the poor young Watt fell for it. My daughter Becca bought Immac hair remover over Christmas, so we have put in a ordinary bottle and presented it to Watt. He went with our man of the local officer safety, they smeared the cream around their rooms, and sitting around an hour to talk about what they would do with their new weapons king-size! After an hour they have washed cream off, and all their forests. They came to see me in a state of horror and shock, but were very relieved when I said them, this is the first step of growth and repeat next month. Oh what a horrible person I am! We also had a visit from two brothers who we nicknamed The Wurzels, a pair of really nice guys who lived on a farm in the country, and decided to have an adventure. They had never been outside their county, let alone the country, and they had never heard of a place called Oxford, where our guide originally from Kevin. Imagine the surprise of the boys when they landed in Thailand! Apparently, at home, they do not go out drinking, not to We'ze off dranking, stays we'ze wiz in a tea cup ORF noice. So now, enough of my nonsense and fishing. This month saw 45 tickets a day (30 in a group) and 38 guests fishing holidays in Thailand, fishing in Thailand from a few days to several weeks. Between them, they landed 465 fish of 15 species, composed as follows … Arapaima 25 to 400 pounds, 12 catfish Mekong £ 180, 255, Siamese carp to 120 pounds, 72 catfish red tail £ 80, Alligator gar five to 15 pounds, four Asian catfish red tail for 30 pounds, 13 to 30 pounds black pacu, seven Chao Phraya catfish £ 65, £ 19 35 sorubim spotted carp Julien four gold price £ 25, eight featherback spotted at 10 pounds, 17 rohu carp to 16 pounds, 18 striped snakes £ 4, Stingray five giants of £ 120, and Attu Wallago £ 24.

As mentioned above Wil, with his much better half, Betty of Holland have were the first guests of news after Christmas. The fishing this year has been slower than last year, but as Wil targets big fish it suited him and his style of fishing. Wil target this year was to fish carp Siam. Betty likes to float fishing for our species less, but Wil is strict – no fishing float before 9am to avoid scaring the fish! I never met someone in my life as chilled as Mark, a nice guy who just supported by the peace and tranquility of Gillham. Another casual Mr. Nice Guy, Ken Weeks, reserved for one week. Ken came to relax and hopefully catch a few fish. It was very fun to be with, and enjoyed his stay here. The first few days, Ken just chilled in the wrong swim, but has not been disturbed. Later in the week, he proposed to the other end of the lake, landing 31 fish for the week. He got into a shoal of carp Siamese, and took 18-50 lbs. At the same time my dear friends Jamie and Carol Mclean arrived just a quiet break for us. Jamie did manage a couple of short sessions between the pool and tourism, while Carol disclosed his secret steak and kidney pudding and bacon to fill Steve. Oh, second, it is to die for, and are now in the menu by Gillham – I've already put on another 20 pounds! Jamie's best fish of five was a red tail of £ 65. I had a survey before Christmas from a guy named Jerker who wanted to go on a journey of 48 hours. I thought it was a wound from a second, but in reality it turns out to be a popular name in Scandinavia – apparently there are many jerkers there! I guess when they leave, They say off Jerker! Sorry could not resist it, it's a bit like the young boy called Wayne Kerr. OK Back to the story … Jerker was a fanatic about fishing, he reserved three rods, and was led from the moment he arrived. He had his best half Ida with him, and what a pair! He said that Ida could fish, but he did it using corn or boilies so as not to catch fish bigger than him. The first day, Ida was a machine, killing eight Siamese carp in a short feeding period, but the next day she has a spanking Jerker a Mekong catfish 150 pounds in the morning, followed by three other Siamese carp to £ 120. While all this was happening, Jerker poor at the next swim landed just two fish. The following week, Jerker returned for a day of fishing, and to save face poor Ida was not allowed to fish! He had a better day, probably because Ida was showing him what to do, landing five fish with some small carp, by standards Ida, up 55 pounds, with a beautiful featherback around £ 12.

Reiner Dream Lake in Chiang Mai has sent his Austrian Andreas Guest us. When it arrived we were in the middle of a heatwave and the fishing has been slow, but in one week, he still 21 five fish species. The spritely 70-year-young Arthur Hawkins, with its charming fishing and Angie his partner, came for a week on the road to visit their daughter and grandchildren in Australia. Not to be outdone, Angie has shown that women can do, it was a very competent and experienced fisherman who is enjoying retirement with Arthur, fisheries around the world. Angie landed 12 fish of four species, the best being four-tailed cat Red £ 80, and six Siamese carp £ 45. If poor Angie had not lost a couple of big fish, one being a arapaima, it would eclipse Arthur. The couple both realized that the extreme heat was the slower fishing, but agreed that would be heaven Gillham even without fish – In their words the fish was a bonus. A guy who made the trip this month was Nick Wheeler an ex-pat Englishman who work and live there, Nick came with his wife and daughter a year for a week's holiday with three days fishing, and landed ten fish in three days of six species, with arapaima to 120 pounds, Chao Phraya catfish to 60 pounds, the Mekong catfish 65 pounds of baby, redder catfish tail with 65 pounds Siamese carp and sorubim, overall a fair bit of sport for a short trip.
